This wooden photo album is made of African Padauk, which is a striking bright orange color. The outer part of the tree, the sap wood, is almost white. I found a Padauk board that had a large amount of the lighter sap wood, and was able to create the contrasting front cover. Bright solid brass hinges. Instructions included.

The back cover is made from
appalachian Black Walnut, and adds to its warm but colorful appearance. The heads of the brass binding posts are visible.
Here is a closer look at the binding detail. The center
Walnut strip is removed to allow for the pages that can be added. The other 2
cherry strips are left in place to "sandwich" the pages between the top and bottom cover. If more pages are added, the strips can be removed to allow for them, or only a center strip can be used with pages on either side. Instruction sheet included.
