  From Virginia or Pennsylvania, USA.  A light honey color that darkens to a beautiful golden-brown.

  A bright orange color that seasons to a deep reddish-orange.

  A brownish wood when first milled, this wood ages to a lustrous deep-purple color.

Above image is American Black Walnut.

  From the Appalachian Mountains, USA.    This tree produces a light to dark, chocolate-brown wood.  The sap wood is much lighter, sometimes white with shades of blue.  One of my personal favorites.

  Often referred to as Yellowheart.  Very consistent yellow color.
